I’m Amber,

And I’m so glad. you are here!

I first knew I wanted to be a therapist at 12 years old. My path has had many twists and turns since that point, but I feel grateful that my childhood career dream has become a reality. It is an honor to work in a profession where daily I encounter the courage, strength and resiliency of the human spirit.

My Approach

I am dedicated to creating an authentic, trusting, and safe relationship with each client. I understand that the therapeutic journey is vulnerable and deeply personal with no two clients needing exactly the same thing. Therefore, I bring a variety of proven theories, techniques and creative approaches into each of my sessions. Depending on my client’s needs, I can provide a very structured, direct session or a session that is more spiritually or feelings led. Despite the style, a non-judgmental, loving environment is very important to me.

In holding space for my clients, I use a trauma informed, attachment based lens to explore roots of pain and soul issues that may be playing out in day-to-day life. I also draw upon polyvagal theory and somatic approaches, expressive arts, mindful self-compassion, EMDR and internal family systems (IFS) in my work.

I have received extensive training and mentorship from eating disorder expert, Dr. Anita Johnston, Author of Eating in the Light of the Moon, and largely incorporate storytelling and metaphor into my work. Due to my own recovery from an eating disorder, I also share my hope and understanding for the struggle of living with unhealthy eating while motivating my clients towards their own path of recovery.

I am an only child, INFJ, 4wing5, and a manifesting generator.

My sun is leo, my moon is sagittarius, and my rising is scorpio.

I love birth order; decoding family lineage stories; and finding metaphors in obscure behavior.

I never close doors or drawers all the way; I love curling up with a good book; my clothing is my favorite form of self-expression; and the sadder the music the better.

I live just on the line of OTP with my husband, two beautiful baby girls (1 and 3), and our 1 year old yellow lab, Winnie.
